In a losing effort, Seminoles sophomore tailback Dalvin Cook garnered 194 rushing yards and a touchdown. For the Tigers, sophomore quarterback Deshaun Watson totaled 404 yards of offense and a passing touchdown. Clemson is 9-0 for the first time since 1981 when they won a national championship.
“I’m really proud of our team and how they competed last weekend in a hard fought battle with Florida State,” said Clemson coach Dabo Swinney. “To be 9-0 for only the third time in the history of this school is really a great accomplishment for these guys.”
The North Carolina Tar Heels are runner-up for the award, after defeating rival Duke Blue Devils 66-31 in Chapel Hill. The Team of the Week is for games played on November 7.
